Around 50,000 revellers attended Saturday’s Future Music Festival at Randwick Racecourse.
Police said four people suffered serious medical complications due to suspected drug overdoses, while 500 people were treated for dehydration and other ailments.
Police arrested 140 people, the majority for a variety of drug offences including supplying prohibited drugs, along with a charge of assault and a breach of bail.
During the festival 164 people were ejected, 165 were searched and moved on and 33 infringement notices were issued, many for offensive behaviour.
Officers also seized powder and cannabis, as well as more than 300 tablets, believed to be prohibited drugs.
Each person charged was granted conditional bail to appear in Waverley Local Court on April 3.
Police are warning those attending Sunday’s under-18s Goodlife music festival at Randwick to heed warnings not to bring prohibited drugs and alcohol into the event or engage in anti-social behaviour.
Superintendent Gavin Dengate, Eastern Beaches Local Area Commander, said partygoers were encouraged to enjoy the day but they should be aware police would be patrolling the grounds.
