Guradian lists Budapest among top summer destinations

According to the prestigious British newspaper The Guardian, the Hungarian capital comes into its own in summer. The newspaper lists Budapest among the top European tourist destinations.

The Guardian mentions several places in Budapest ranging from thermal baths such as Gellért Baths, Széchenyi Baths, or the 16th-century Király Baths, through restaurants such as Borkonyha, Borbiróság, or Menza, to the most popular ruin bars in the city such as Doblo that are worth visiting during our stay in Hungary. The article says that “only few European cities can rival Budapest’s glorious setting astride the Danube River,” which is a great honour for the Hungarian capital. The article also introduces the history of Budapest briefly. In addition, taking to the Buda Hills, according to the newspaper, is one of the best way a visitor can have to escape the often sweltering mid-summer heat in the city. Apart from rambling and biking, the 3km-long Cog-wheel Railway and the Children’s Railway are great leisure options for the whole family.

“Budapest has myriad charms, but nothing beats gazing out across the broad sweep of the Danube from the Castle District on a sultry summer’s evening,” says the article. According to the British newspaper, if you visit the above mentioned places of Budapest, you will have “one of the continent’s most enticing summer city breaks.” based on the article of nlcafe.hu translated by Gábor Hajnal  Source: http://mtva.hu/hu/hungary-matters
