A CHANNEL Ten newsreader had a laughing fit and giggled her way through reports of riots in Brazil and a building collapse in India in which five children died.
Late News presenter Natasha Exelby later apologised for snickering during the reports, after a joke by a colleague gave her “a case of the giggles”.
Ten anchor, former Adelaide boy Matt Doran put Exelby on the spot after he attempted to set her up with a previous interviewee but the banter got the better of the newsreader as she tried to read the world headlines.
Exelby could not control her laughter over vision of bodies being removed from a collapsed building in Mumbai where five children died.
“I just wanted to apologise I got a case of the giggles a little bit earlier while reading some very serious news and if I have offended anyone I am sincerely sorry,” she said at the end of her report.
