Melbourne train collision causes chaos

A passenger train has collided with a truck in Melbourne’s south east, causing peak hour chaos for commuters.

 

The incident happened just before 6.30am (AEST) on the Nepean Highway at a level crossing in Bonbeach.

Outbound lanes on the Nepean Highway have been blocked by police.

Ladders were used to remove passengers from the train.

It is understood the truck driver escaped uninjured.
