Big Brother Africa starts on Sunday

The latest Big Brother Africa (BBA) deemed the revolution which starts this Sunday in South Africa will not have the popular shower hour time.

The shower hour is that time where housemates are shown bathing and naked and this brought criticism from other people in the continent.
Some quarters said the program lacked morals and was not portraying the cultural values of the African continent.

Multichoice Malawi Sales and Marketing Manager Chimwemwe Nyirenda said the removal of the shower hour time marked the coming in of new things.

He said viewers in Africa are expected to see surprises in the revolution adding that a snap survey had been made as to what people were looking for hence the changes.
Nyirenda also said that the shower hour had been removed to make the event which has attracted more viewers in the African continent more African.

“This is just part of the changes which have been made and people should expect surprises in BBA Revolution. They want to make this year’s event more African,” said Nyirenda.
In this year’s BBA Revolution 14 housemates from 14 countries are expected to battle it out for the top prize of $ 200,000.

In the previous BBA shows there were 12 housemates with 12 countries with the top prize being $100,000.
The countries participating in the BBA Revolution are Ghana, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Angola, South Africa, Uganda, Nigeria, Botswana, Ethiopia and Namibia.

Mozambique and Ethiopia are the new entrants in this event.
Last year’s BBA III was won by Angola’s Ricco after battling it out with Malawi’s Hazel Warren.
