Senegal: Bomb scare hits major bank

The Senegalese police have allayed fears of a bomb explosion in the offices of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO). Bank officials have assured staff of their safety as the Criminal Investigations Department of the Police intensifies their investigations.

AfricaNews reporter said the bank has received anonymous calls informing them of imminent bomb explosions but have been described as a hoax. The staff are panic stricken despite assurances from their management of their wellbeing. 
 
The president of the Dakar-based bank Philippe-Henri Dacoury-Tabley told staff in a video-conference: “This false bomb threats will be put under arrest," describing Senegal as a stable country. 
 
The CID has already published some suspected faces and names.
