Career diplomat Susan Cox will be Australia’s next ambassador to Croatia.
Ms Cox is expected to take up the post in December, replacing current ambassador Beverly Mercer.
She has previously served as Ambassador to the Federated States of Micronesia, Deputy High Commissioner in Vanuatu, and Australian Vice-Consul in New Caledonia.
Ms Cox received the Order of Australia Medal in 2003 for her role in the response to the Bali bombings.
