Repairs to start on Harbour Bridge

Repair work on the Sydney Harbour Bridge will be carried out at night over the next week.

New South Wales Roads Minister Duncan Gay says resurfacing and waterproofing will take place between 10pm and 6am starting today, until March 26.

Mr Gay says the work is essential ahead of a major upgrade to the Bridge’s Southern Toll Plaza, which will see old toll booths removed and lanes realigned.

He says work would be undertaken on the southern sections of lanes one to eight, but hasn’t specified how may lanes could be closed.
