Photo Exhibition Against Homophobia Opens in Havana

Havana, May 6 (Prensa Latina) An exhibition by U.S. photographer Byron Motley is open to the public today at the capital”s International Press Center, as part of the 6th Cuban Day against Homophobia, to be held in the country throughout this month. 

The exhibition opened on Thursday, May 2, with the screening and debate of German film Romeos, a drama about transsexuality and family, and includes a wide range of activities involving international experts, such as British sociologist Jeffrey Weeks, and Mexican sexologist Rinna Riesenfeld .

 

Master lectures, symposia, workshops, visual art exhibitions, presentations and sales of books and magazines, panels and video-debates on sexual rights, inequality and social integration, sexual diversity and local development, community activities, information centers, and reading of poems are part of the program.
