How to experience an African Safari that is affordable

Over-landing in Africa is one of the cheapest ways and frankly a more fun way to experience a country that is beautiful and diverse.

An over land trip to Africa can last between 2 weeks and 6 months and many African countries can be visited.

Your transport will likely be in a specially designed truck that can take you and your fellow travelers way off the beaten track.

But a small note of warning if you are not into camping and roughing it a little an overland adventure to Africa may not be for you.

Let’s look at some prices…………A 30 day over land trip can cost as little as $800. Now that’s cheap.
For your money you will receive your transport (not including the airfare), entry fees for game parks and campsites and most meals. Most tours also ask that you put a few dollars into a ‘kitty’ which is used for fresh food and miscellaneous incidentals.

Here is a taste of a 2 -week Kenya and Tanzania overland adventure that starts at $640 per person. This trip includes a visit to the Kruger National park, the Okavango Delta and Victoria Falls.

At the end of the day the price is right so it all depends on just how much time you can dedicate to exploring Africa.
